Use of Basic Shapes

For the basic shape project, I decided to do Samus from the Metroid series. She was the first Super Smash Bros character I ever played. I tried to keep her silhouette as recognizable as possible, but I did add some spikes to her shoulder armor. I wanted to use some cones for a "sharper" look, while also using lots of spheres and round shapes to reinforce that she's a hero character.

Simple Block Sprite (2D)

For my project, I really wanted to do a sprite of Marth from Fire Emblem! I'm much more familiar with Maya than Unreal, so this project was a great way to help me get my bearings. I feel a lot more comfortable in Unreal now. And I'm excited to see how future projects develop from Maya into Unreal!
